Reverend Beverly Burt
Assistant Pastor
Rev. Beverly Burt is a native Washingtonian. She is a 1968 graduate of Western High School (now Duke Ellington School of the Arts). She has also received several degrees in education: a BA in Elementary Education from Howard University (1972), a MA in Human Development and Supervision from George Washington University (1981) and an Education Specialist Degree in Leadership from Pensacola Christian College (2013)in Pensacola, Florida. She is currently in the Master of Divinity program with a concentration in Christian Counseling at Maple Springs Bible College and Seminary.
Rev. Burt was a 50+ year member of the Isle of Patmos Baptist Church serving in many areas of the church from her youth until 2014. She was licensed to preach the gospel in 2006 and ordained in 20013 under Dr. Calvin L. Matthews.
In 2014 Rev. Burt responded to God’s call to assist Pastor Tarver in planting the Revelation of Christ Baptist Church in Stoddard Global Care Nursing Facility. She is a regular bible study teacher for the facility’s residents each Wednesday.
The scriptural verse that has motivated her though out her life of service and will continue to inspire her as she begins yet another chapter is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
Minister Letetia Barrett
Associate Minister
Letetia Barrett is a native of Washington D.C. She received her education in the District of Columbia Public School System.
In 1979, Ms. Barrett received her diploma from American Adult Preparatory Institute and graduated from the “school of Hard Knocks”.
She is currently employed by the Juvenile Detention Center working with abused, neglected youth with various types of crimes and trauma.
In 2006, Ms. Barrett further her education with the University of Colorado Tech and finished with the University of Phoenix in 2008.
In the spring of 2011, Ms. Barrett heard the call and enrolled in the Washington Baptist Theological Seminary and accepted the Ministerial Call in 2015.
On March 21, 2015, Letetia Barrett united with the Ministerial staff of Revelation of Christ Baptist Church (R.O.C.) under the guidance and leadership of Pastor Reginald Tarver.
Minister Barrett was licensed at The ROC on June 7, 2015.
