Rev. Dr. Donald E. Anderson, Sr.

INSTRUCTOR

Rev. Dr. Donald E. Anderson, Sr. was born in Washington, D.C. where he was educated in the public schools.  He is the husband of Mary Pinkney Anderson, the father of Tonya Partman and Donald Anderson, Jr., and the grandfather of Malik Partman.  Rev. Anderson is retired from the Library of Congress, Office System Services Division.

 

Rev. Anderson was baptized at Third Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. at the age of seven. There, he served as Sunday School teacher, trustee and deacon until he was called to preach the gospel in 1984.  Under the auspices of the pastor, Dr. Henry Miles, Rev. Anderson was ordained to the gospel ministry on December 3, 1989. In 1991, he received the call to organize the Bethel Outreach Ministries where he presently serves as pastor. He also serves as catechist for candidates for ordination to the gospel ministry.   He is active with the Golden Rule Christian Endeavor Society and the Interdenominational Council of Ministers of Washington, D.C. and Vicinity.

 

In 1985 Rev. Anderson entered the Washington Baptist Seminary and graduated in June 1989. He earned a Bachelor of Theology degree from the Truth Bible College in Jacksonville, Flotida.  In

2010 he accepted a request from Dr. John Franklin, President and Dean of the Wilbur Waters School of Religion to serve as an instructor.  While teaching at Wilbur Waters he received his Master of Theology degree and his Doctor of Theology degree.  He currently teaches classes in Fundamental Theology, Spirituality in Changing Times, and Old and New Testament Survey. He serves as Dean of Student Affairs, First Vice President of the School, and a member of the school 's Board of Directors.

 

He is born again and Holy Ghost filled.  His passion is preaching and teaching the Word of God.
